Deep Travel in India with Swami Sundaranand, Shahabuddin, and Kothraneda
Dear Adventurous travelers,
As many of you know, we are offering an exciting trip in May to Gangotri, the source of the Ganges River in India. This journey is especially powerful as we will be visiting with Swami Sundaranand Ji who is in his late 80s, and we’re not quite sure how long he will be available to share his blessing and his teaching.
To experience his presence, his meditations and prayers, in the very place where he began his journey with his teacher Master Tapovan Maharaj 62 years ago makes this pilgrimage life changing.
As we are making the final arrangements in the next few weeks it is imperative that you let us know of your interest. There has been some misunderstanding about the itinerary, in that there is an optional 3-day hike offered as part of the trip. This is not mandatory, but only offered for those who are both physically fit and desire to go even further up into the glacier. I myself will not be going on the hike, but will be staying in Gangotri with Swamiji where we will continue to offer a daily program of prayer and meditation.

Kashmir & Ladakh

We are also offering a 10-day extension of this trip which will be guided by our dear friends Sanjay and Akbar Chris Miller, which will journey to Ladakh (which today is more Tibetan than Tibet since China moved in) and Kashmir, one of the most beautiful places on the planet, and Sanjay’s hometown. If you are interested in just going to Ladakh and Kashmir, you are most welcome to just journey on that part.
There are some young murids who would benefit greatly by coming on this trip. They are all employed in entry-level positions which do not give them any surplus income. David Less Tours is willing to donate all costs above the very basic raw cost for their place in the trip, if we can help them financially just cover the base cost. These are young mureeds (ages 17 and 25). Because this contribution will be connected to David Less Tours, we cannot offer any possibility of a charitable donation tax deduction.
