Over twenty-five years ago, when Anna and I were living in India, many of our friends from Europe and America contacted us, wondering about the possibility of visiting. We said yes to everyone who asked, and soon we were a small tribe living and traveling in India. We visited teachers and saints from many different mystical paths. Many of our visitors would join us for meals and socializing with our Indian friends. We also ventured to some of the more remote places of the subcontinent. In time friends of friends heard about what a life-transforming experience people were having visiting India with us. This evolved into David Less Tours Ltd., which for over twenty years has been offering this dream.

Before India I was a businessman, I had a law degree, and I had a dream. My business philosophy has changed, but my dream has not. I dream that bringing people to saints and holy places and having people of many backgrounds eat together, pray together, sing together, shop together, and just be together will change the world. It is my joy to host you on these tours. Anna and I have managed to raise four children, travel continually around the world, and maintain a sense of humor. When I'm not leading tours, I head Rising Tide International, an organization dedicated to spirituality and the arts that is located in Sarasota, Florida. I also give seminars on spirituality and meditation in Sarasota and in cities throughout the United States and Europe. It gives me great pride that so many people who have traveled with us come back again and again, and it gives me great joy that so many of the travelers have become my friends.

I have always been fascinated by the complexity and diversity of human beings, and I cherish our tours as vehicles where people seem to flourish and deepen. Over the years I have raised a beautiful and loving family, worked with my husband as president of an importing business, and traveled to places on this glorious planet that most people only dream of. I am a certified acupuncture physician with a broad-based practice, an herbalist, homeopathist, and instructor at an acupuncture college. Many weekends I travel all over the country treating patients and giving workshops on healing and lifestyle.

It is a privilege and a joy for me to be able to offer these tours. I love watching people's wonder as we visit places of timeless beauty and meet unusual people with great gifts of love and creativity. I also thoroughly enjoy sharing my secret shopping places and seeing peoples' faces light up as they discover treasures and interact with the craftspeople and artists we've come to know. There is a very strong feeling of family and love that develops quickly on our tours. We'd love for you to join us.

As a professional coach and trainer, I am continually asked to help my clients step into their authentic lives more fully. IÕve discovered a tool that accelerates this processÑchallenge. The greater the challenge, the more you are faced with limitations, the more you find what you are willing to risk, what it is you really want, and who you really are.

Trekking in Nepal provides such a learning environment. Never-ending peace and love (aka Nepal) is a culture that shatters our conditioning of how to live life and how to be happy. It is my joy and honor to offer these noble journeys and to witness the transformational breakthroughs of participants as they grow beyond what they thought they could, experience being magnificent beyond their concepts, and realize happiness.

I bring to these tours my presence as an athletic trainer and a master certified life coach, along with my spiritual connection to the Nepali people and the splendorous Himalayas. Currently I live in Santa Cruz, California, enjoying my mid life. I run a fulfilling coaching business, have meaningful relationships with my husband and two grown children, and enjoy surfing, swimming, yoga, and full moon dancing.

I like communicating with people and I like travelling, so being a tour guide comes naturally. I want show people my beautiful country, and let people know more about China. I also like to learn from travelers and broaden my own point of view. I have fun with groups, making friends, and showing what China is like from the Chinese point of view.

Over the past 15 years I have worked both as a tour guide and a teacher of English at our community college. My interest in English language and teaching experience has enriched my exchange of ideas with friends from English-speaking countries; and in return, my touring experience keeps my English updated. It is my wish to serve as a bridge, allowing my American friends to know the real China, with its distinctive culture, diverse folk customs, local cuisines, and historical events, as well as seeing its current situation.
